M08057.1 Imperial Japanese Navy Good Conduct Chevron, Second Type

The Japanese military used a system of chevrons, worn point up,  to denote good conduct for enlisted and NCO grades.

This is for an enlisted man or NCO in the Imperial Japanese Navy, who exhibited good conduct. It is machine embroidered in yellow on navy blue cotton. It was then glued around a stiffener and sewn. An earlier system used different colors.

This was part of a large grouping of IJN items I obtained from a picker about 2 years ago.

It shows negligible age and wear.
