G08051X3 WWII German Army Breast Eagle for the Rock

G08051X3 WWII German Army Breast Eagle for the Rock

This WWII German army breast eagle was meant to be worn on the parade dress tunic (the rock).

This breast eagle is machine woven in metallic thread (flatwire) on a dark green backing. This backing was trimmed and sewn a dark green badge cloth backing which was then cut to shape for sewing to the EM / NCO parade dress tunic. It is the M36 pattern breast eagle.

This eagle appears to have been sewn on and ripped off rather roughly leaving the wool damaged where the stitches were pulled out. In addition it shows minor age and wear, but is a very solid example.
