G08103.6 Hitler Youth Injection Molded Aluminum Belt Buckle, (RZM) M1 / 46

This buckle is a standard pattern aluminum Hitler Youth buckle made by the injection molding process during the years 1942 – 1944. It is a one piece buckle with an integral roundel showing a drop wing eagle holding a Hitler Youth diamond in its claws. Around the top of the roundel is the HJ motto, “Blut und Ehre” (Blood and Honor).

This buckle is in excellent condition with only modest wear. Molten aluminum is forced into a multi-piece die to form these buckles.

The catch is integrally molded into the body of the buckle as is normal for this buckle construction. The roll bar consists of a steel pin with a steel shroud holding steel prongs in place.

This buckle is marked "RZM M4/46" near the edge of the buckle on the catch end (Wilhelm Schroder & Cie, Ludenscheid). The RZM is in a double circle. A twin to this buckle is shown on page 290 in "German Belt Buckles 1845 - 1945" by Peter Nash.

The solid aluminum Hitler Youth belt buckles were not painted.
