U08073-6 WWII Son in Service Pin

About 1 1/8″ high, this gilded sterling silver pin was to be worn during WWII by a woman who had a son serving in any branch of the Armed Forces. It is in mint condition

The maker of this pin is the popular firm of Coro. Its reverse is marked Coro, Sterling, Pat. Pend. The red, white and blue paint on the shield is 100% and the safety catch functions properly. I found this at a small flea market in Pike County, IL.
