UD56.X - Carlisle Dressing

UD56.X - Carlisle Dressing

This is the basic field dressing used in WWII. It is a mint, unissued example. The dressing is packaged in a gray cardboard box measuring about 4” x 2” x 1 1/8” and has its original cellophane covering in place. Printing on the box reads, First Aid Dressing, U. S. Army Carlilse Model, Sterilized, along with various contract and item numbers. It was made by Handy Pad Supply Co. of Worcester, Mass.

There is a split in the cellophane wrapper on the side, but it is not noticeable. I purchased a number of these from a vintage clothing dealer in St Louis, MO.
