UQ65z5 Honorable Discharge Emblem (Ruptured Duck)

This emblem was worn above the right breast pocket of a WWII veteran’s uniform to show he had been honorably discharged.  It is my understanding that this patch also allowed him to wear his uniform for a specified time period after separation without being hassled by the MP’s. These were made on different backgrounds for wear on various uniforms.  They may be machine embroidered, machine woven or printed.

This Mint example is machine embroidered on khaki cotton twill for wear on the army shirt. It has a khaki reinforced edge and is cut edge.
