U11023D2 Challenge Coin for the McDonald Army Health Center

U11023D2 Challenge Coin for the McDonald Army Health Center

This is a brass Challenge coin for the McDonald Army Health Center, at Fort Eustis, VA. The coin is painted as appropriate and coated with clear resin.

The front of the coin features the DI of the Army Medical Department with a smaller DI for the US Army Medical Dept Activity, Ft. Eustis in front of it, both surrounded by “McDonald Army Health Center, Fort Eustis, Virginia”. The metal is punched out between the DI’s and the surrounding verbiage.

The back of the coin shows a medic treating a wounded soldier, a colonel's eagle and a staff sty major's stripes with "Fort Eustis, Fort Monroe, Fort Story, In Recognition of Excellence" in the surround.

This coin is in mint condition. I found a small number of them at a local flea market in 2011
